Tooth Whitening
In addition to the Zoom® professional
tooth whitening procedure we offer at our office, we also
provide our patients in the San Francisco and Oakland area
the option of using custom-made tooth whitening trays in the
convenience of their home.
What's in the kit?
The at-home whitening kit consists of:
- Two custom tooth trays (one each for your
upper and lower teeth) that are created from a mold of your
mouth
- A bleaching gel that you will place into
the trays before inserting them over your teeth. The gel
comes in graduated syringes so that you can squeeze in exactly
the right amount.
When you use these trays for a specified time
period - e.g., for one hour each day, the gel will gently
whiten your teeth.
These custom home whitening trays can also
be used as a way to "touch up" your smile if it's been some
time since you've had the Zoom®
professional whitening procedure done. A combination of
both methods can keep your teeth healthy and bright for many
years to come.
